Small danced like me – feet planted firmly to the floor whilst bobbing at the knees or gently rocking left and right from foot to foot, with some rotation when feeling extremely adventurous.  With both techniques the arms pumped in and out in jerky, rapid and random motions, often with fingers pointed.  Note:  music was not always required.

Watching Small dance was a joy because he was totally uninhibited.  The dancing had to be spontaneous though.  When we started asking Small 1 to dance, especially for other people, he soon learnt what embarrassment was and never want to dance again.  We didn’t make the same mistake with Smalls 2&3.

 Small Dancing

Not so much a parenting guide full of advice, more the reality of parenting kids and being a house husband and father, written by a stay at home dad to three children.
