Holidays did not really exist for me as a house husband.  The day to day grind had to continue, it just had a different background.  The background was unfamiliar meaning each job took longer and was more fraught.  But at least I had someone to share the burden with during what would have been normal working hours.  Which meant it was not much of a holiday for my wife either.

Still, a change is as good as a rest.

Bollocks.  I was glad to get back to the routines I had painstakingly carved out of the day.

Not so much a parenting guide full of advice, more the reality of parenting kids and being a house husband and father, written by a stay at home dad to three children.
