Sail With the Tide

Nothing could be done quickly or spontaneously with Small.  Firstly, I had to wait until Small was ready before I could go anywhere.  He had to be fed, changed and happy, with all his appropriate comforters.  Then I needed to gather a multitude of things together to deal with Small whilst we were out because he would soon need feeding and changing again.  There were only small windows of opportunity and if I missed one then, like the tide, I would have to wait for the next to roll in.

Not so much a parenting guide full of advice, more the reality of parenting kids and being a house husband and father, written by a stay at home dad to three children.
