Before Smalls arrived on the scene I was busy.  There was never enough time to get everything done.  Life was a constant treadmill that never stopped with all sorts of things getting in the way of what I really wanted to be doing.

Hah!  What was I thinking!  Compared to life with Smalls I had nothing to do.  In fact I struggle to recall what I did do.  I can’t fathom how I used up all the time I must have had on my hands.

Small consumed my time.  He gorged himself on it.  I had a lot more to do because Small was there and a lot less time to do it because Small kept distracting me from it.

Two Smalls was worse.  Right up until the time they could start to entertain each other.  As soon as Small 2 got to the toddling stage my Smalls started to play together.  True, this usually ended in tears and recriminations but for a short while I was freed from entertaining Smalls and could get on with the washing, cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, gardening and tidying up in peace.  It was amazing how much more productive I was without the constant interruptions.

Not so much a parenting guide full of advice, more the reality of parenting kids and being a house husband and father, written by a stay at home dad to three children.
